After 45 and fabulous!

Many actresses in age 45+ state while being interviewed that there are not many characters written for them to play in a movie. Is that true? Well...maybe it is since the trend of being young & beautiful in Hollywood mostly concerns women. Men are treated a bit differently and can choose from the pot of great roles on big screen till old age ;)

However, this does not mean there are no gorgeous actresses in age 45+. There are quite a few, not all of them are so phenomenal as Meryl Streep but still I found plenty of amazing women in film industry.

Meryl will be celebrating her 64th birthday this year and it seems like this woman is a knockout! She is not only talented but knows how to manage her career path. People say she can play anyone and anything. I have seen so many movies with her I cannot even choose which one I liked more? :) I also go back to old ones like The Deer Hunter, Out of Africa or Sophie's Choice. She received 3 Oscars and has been nominated 17 times...and you know what, she's not done. There will be more to come, I can feel it. What I admire in her is that she is not under all this "beauty/surgery" pressure. Even if she did anything to her looks, you can't tell right?

Next one I would like to mention here is a bit forgotten Kim Basinger. Would you believe she's 59???

Some of us remember her from Nine 1/2 Weeks and some from LA Confidential. The first one is a movie from 1986 that my mom adored as you could see there "scenes" with Mickey Rourke (back in times when he was gorgeous) :)

I think Alec Baldwin had lost his mind not fighting for this relationship! Just look at her...

Less famous Sela Ward, for the fans of House MD series no need for introduction....House loved her and so did we :)
You could also see her in The Fugitive with Harrison Ford and The Day after Tomorrow.

And she is 57...damn, I would like to look like this when I reach that age! Between you and me, she must have done something to her face...but who cares, still looks good!

Another actress who was more famous in the 90s is Andie MacDowell.

I think everybody remember the movie Four Weddings and a Funeral with Hugh Grant :) There was also a funny comedy The Groundhog Day.

Andie is just 55 and because of her beauty she was chosen by L'Oreal to represent the brand.
I always liked watching her on the screen, especially in the Four Weddings and a Funeral.
This list would not be accurate without adding Sandra Bullock, the girl next door :)

She is funny and talented which she proved in movies Miss Congeniality and The Blind Side. For the second one she received an Oscar, in my opinion, fair decision! I love this movie :)

Last but definitely not least Monica Bellucci, a 48 years old goddess according to some men ;)
Obviously she played in many italian movies we never even heard of but 2 that come to my mind now were quite famous, Malena and Baaria. Monica plays various roles, it's like she does not want to be bored on the set.

One year we see her in controversial Irreversible and next year in The Matrix :)

She is married to famous french actor Vincent Cassell and we could see both of them in the movie Dobermann...again, scandalous role but worth it!

Let's be clear about it, Monica Bellucci is fabolous! And she's italian!
Bella Donna :)
