Long time no see :) Had a long break blogging here however...that does not mean I haven't seen any movies :)
I went for longer holidays and as you can imagine, I was not able to sleep on those transatlantic flights when so many new movies are just awaiting on the list! Sooo here are a few I saw on the way to US and back :)
Let's start with a movie I had high expectations from....and...... :)
With such cast, even though somehow it reminded me of Twilight, i thought....it has to be a good one right??? NOOOOTTTT as one of my friends would say :P
Beautiful Creatures, there is Jeremy Irons and Emma Thompson as background characters and actually the story itself is quite interesting. But in the end, there's sth missing there! I must admit I expected way much more fire between 2 main characters and somehow the way all is directed....it's just slow and becomes boring.
Next one on the "flight menu" was Side Effects with my lovely Channing Tatum who does not appear for a long time but still....ahhh :)
The plot is catchy and brings a new something to the scene. Rooney Mara, I must say I might change my mind about her. I did not like her that much in A Girl with a Dragon Tatoo, but I guess that might be because I preferred the Swedish version of the movie and actors. But in Side Effects, this role was definitely well chosen for her. A movie worth seeing, not on the list "Must See" but an interesting choice that is dedicated to current world problems.
Broken City with Mark Wahlberg and Russell Crowe, now here you see I was sure it's a win-win situation, and actually the movie get your attention nearly from the beginning but later....it just collapses. It becomes slower from minute to minute. Then you are sitting expecting something to happen, game changer, some action or an amazing "play" of actors in one good scene....but no, that's not happening...at least in my opinion.
I am a little bit dissapointed with Russell to be honest. I always considered him as a very good actor and now, he did not prove to be one in that movie... There is also Catherine Zeta-Jones so at least boys have something to watch :)
Last one, Stand Up Guys. I chose that one only because of the cast, Al Pacino, Christopher Walken and Alan Arkin. 
It's not a hilarious movie but definitely something to recommend, easy watching, certain humor that not everyone will like but still entertaining.
I must admit to something...I am devastated, my favorite actor of all times, Al Pacino...is getting old....who is gonna set up the standards when he's gone???
